Infinara. A mix of "infinite" and "narrative." The idea being that every image holds more than one story — and the one that matters is yours, not mine.

I photograph Malé, Maldives. Not the resorts. The city itself. The narrow streets, the shadows that fall between buildings, the green that pushes through concrete, the reflections in glass and puddles and parked bikes. Malé is dense and loud and chaotic. My photos try to find the stillness inside that.

The direction has been shifting. Early on I was after something cinematic. Now I'm closer to painterly — photos that feel like looking at a painting. The more you look, the more you notice.

I don't describe my photos. I think each person sees something different when they look at an image, and that's the point. If I write the narrative, you'll see what I tell you to see. I'd rather you feel what you feel.
